Do dogs only see blue and yellow?

Those are the two colors that come through clear. Dogs have two kinds of color receptors; people have three. Red, orange, pink and green all land in the same muddy yellow-brown. The long version.

So dogs don't see in black and white?

No. That's an old myth. They see color, just fewer of them.

Will my dog like a blue toy more?

We don't know your dog. We know he can see it, and that it's easier to find against grass, dirt and most floors. What he does after that is his business.

Are the dog-vision pictures exact?

No, and every one is labelled approximate. They use a standard model of human red-green color blindness, which is the closest match to how dogs see color. It shows color only, not detail or low light.

Why is there a red toy on the toy page?
